The varsity soccer boys earned a 6-0 win over Bryan Rudder on Thursday afternoon during the first day of the Aggieland Classic.

Senior Lazaro Yanez and junior Roman Gomez lead the panthers into a 4-0 score, each scoring a brace.

“I felt good and confident and have a good season and hope that’s how it’ll be,”Gomez said.

The performance of the team impressed Jason Villicana a player from Tomball Memorial, another school playing in the tournament.

“They can move the ball around pretty well,” he said. “They were very organized they talked, played very calmly, controlled the game and made runs.”

The JV A team had a 4-0 win against Waller later taking third place during the Huntsville tournament taking the win with a 4-1 score over Grand Oaks, while the varsity players ended up with a 2-1 loss against A&M Consolidated later beating the Crowley Eagles 2-0 during the third and final day of the aggieland classic tournament.

They soccer boys face their first district game against Lake Creek this afternoon.
